Outdoor portraits…

I took some outdoor portraits for my cousin Jenny last month.  She’s a budding musician, and has a bunch of vids posted on Youtube, where she does a bunch of covers and occasionally does an original tune too.  She’s getting more gigs for shows, and occasionally they ask her to provide a photo,so I offered my services.  I had recently picked up an Westcott Apollo 28″ Softbox as a flash modifier, so I was pretty excited to try it out on a new victim. So The results are quite pleasing; you can see for yourself down below… It gives a nice soft light and is super easy to set up.  It sets up just like a silver reflector umbrella, but it also provides better light spillage prevention while softening and evening out the light in the front.  I shot these with my Nikon D700, Yongnuo RF-602 flash triggers, 85mm f/1.4D, and SB-28dx flash, triggered off camera.

In any case, here are more photos below, including a couple of behind the scene shots as well.
